Green Lipped Mussel Powder For Dogs
Could this superfood be the solution for your dog's skin, joints and mobility?
Green lipped mussel (GLM) is a shellfish native to the coastal waters of New Zealand, and it's one of the most nutrient-dense natural ingredients you can add to your dog's diet. We love it so much that we included it in every one of our meal toppers. Keep reading to find out why.

What Dog Parents Are Saying:
Hip & Joint hero has worked wonders for our 12 year old boy who has both arthritis and an acl injury. There was instantly a noticeable difference.
We have been using this for 2 months and it has been a life changer for our itchy dachshund.
You're not alone
Omega-3 deficiency is one of the most overlooked reasons for the common pain points pet parents visit their vet about. But natural prevention or remedies are often used as a last resort.

What Sets Green Lipped Mussel Powder Apart From Other Fish Oils?
The key is in the full-spectrum nutrient profile. Most fish oils give your dog omega-3s and not much else.
GLM powder is naturally packed with glucosamine and chondroitin; two ingredients with decades of research to show they help cushion and protect cartilage. Alongside those, it keeps the joints lubricated and moving smoothly.
Then there are the omega-3s. GLM contains the usual EPA and DHA you'd expect from a fish oil, plus a rarer one called ETA that's found in almost no other food on the planet. ETA is the reason green lipped mussel is so widely studied for calming inflammation in dogs - ticking the box for every "itis" condition (arthritis, tendonitis, so on and so forth).
And it's not just for older dogs. The same omega-3s and antioxidants that soothe stiff joints also support a stronger skin barrier, a glossier coat, and a healthier immune system.
So, you can see why we included this all-star in every Updog supplement. Pretty impressive, huh?

This skin and coat powder is great. It has stopped my dog Byron from itching so much and his coat is so shiny. We combined it with the Joint powder. Both are great and will buy again
That's excellent news, thank you Kyle!
Henry was such an itchy boy, with rashes, hotspots, itchy ears, paws, you name it. He's 5 years old and we have been getting cytapoint jabs and even restricting his diet. It's been about 8 weeks since we started and I've never seen Henrys skin look this good. I was sceptical, as it takes a while to see if it works or not, and this one is 100% legitimate.
This is what it's all about! Thank you Jess, we're really happy for Henry.
I hate reading 5 stars reviews like 'received the product today, haven't tried it yet, but package is nice.' so I waited for 3 weeks, and hopefully my review will be helpful. I received skin hero on 13th August, I was really excited, bc the reviews i've read seems genuine and mostly positive. however I have a French bulldog, so I tried not to hold my expectation too high. Wallie has been on apoquel for years, and I decided to try alternatives a year ago. During the past year, we have changed his diet from chicken to kangaroo, and I wash his paws with Masaleb shampoo weekly, wipe his paws with diluted chlorixidine daily, even so his paws were still producing black gunk everyday. oh, and he's pretty much wearing an Elizabeth cone 24hours except when eating and going out for walks. After taking skin hero for 3 weeks, I noticed that from the 3rd week, black gunk production has been largely oppressed, meaning yeast infection is under control. Paw licking still happens, but less obsessed than before, I can interrupt him by telling him to stop instead of enforcing the cone. I believe in a couple more weeks, licking will stop eventually. really happy with the product. can't wait to stop/reduce the excessive cleaning routine soon! thank you so much Updog!
That's amazing, thank you so much for sharing your experience. Hearing from pet parents who use it consistently and give it a good chance makes our day. Keep up the good work and we wish you both continued progress!
Did nothing for our Frenchie or Staffie.
Hey David, it looks like you only had the supplement for 1 week before leaving your review. Keep in mind it's a natural alternative that works to fix the root cause, which means it takes a bit longer to see results. I hope you keep using it and with some more time and consistency we can help ease your dog's skin.
Amazing product Up Dog !
Our big American staffy Clay loves it ! His skin has definitely improved since we have introduced skin and coat hero to his meals ☺️
We're so glad to hear Clay is loving Skin & Coat Hero and is noticing improvements. Thank you for sharing!
